- When is this emotion appropriate?
- Is it right but needs to be amped up or decreased?

Need more objectivity?

- If the drama and emotion were gone, what would replace it? Would you miss it?
- If you could take away the blurriness in order to see the situation clearly, how would you be affected?

- Does this issue cover or preclude a more important issue?

Need to prove it?
- Are you proving something to yourself? What?

- What will happen once it is proven?
- Do you want to verify the issue? Do you need to?
- What happens if you do not prove it?
- Will you need to prove this once or several times?
- How are you benefiting yourself by proving it?
Feeling overly excited and attached?
- What excites me about the situation?
- Is the excitement more fun or the possible conclusion?
- If the situation didn’t exist, what would take the place of the rush?
- Do you like to argue or debate? What is the difference to you?
- How do you generate excitement in your life?
- What do you genuinely enjoy being excited about?
